Wordless Wednesday: Our Little Helper

June 6, 2013 by Morgan Leave a Comment

Today I spent the morning running around after this little girl. Today she decided to see how quickly she could turn our home upside down. Got to love her. I always enjoy when I get to help him..It only happens a couple of times a year, but whenever it does happen it seems to always put us in great moods! (PS. No worries, this picture was snapped while the parking break was on and I just set it up for the picture only...I am pretty focused when I help him feed cattle- I have to be to make sure I ... No Till Farming

May 26, 2013 by Morgan Leave a Comment

I've mentioned a couple of times this planting season about "tilling" our fields.  Another type of tillage that I haven't mentioned, is "no till" or direct planting.  This means that the soil is not tilled up. The positives to no till are that in most cases it will help increase soil moisture and also organic matter content, or nutrient content.  This Spring it seems I am hearing more and ... I met my husband for the first time face to face on the exit ramp that is now down the road from our home. I lived in South Dakota for a year before I was sure I was ready to do this whole "farm wife" thing...(read more!)
