It’s safe to say that everyone is looking for a good deal. Especially when it comes to shopping at the grocery store. Or at least I love looking through the ads when they come to my mail box, with a really big hope of planning out the perfect grocery store trip. With a perfectly organized shopping list and cart and a quiet child. I have really big dreams I know.
About every three to four months I make a really big shopping trip where I stock up on pretty much everything that I can freeze- or where there is a really good sale! If there is a good sale I will typically make a stop during preschool and will buy tons of the one item. I always do my best to write the item down, but sometimes that doesn’t happen, and then I spend an extra hour wandering aimlessly through the grocery store buying more than I need and most likely forget the item.
Hy-VeeDeals.com has quickly became my lifesaver! And I love being able to open up the website on my phone. And the app is so, so handy during a shopping trip where one hand is entertaining a child and I need to quickly access my phone to check my shopping list.
On Hy-VeeDeals.com you can easily access the weekly ads, Fuel Saver Perks, and clip coupons. The clip coupons feature can come in super handy. At night when the kids are in bed I typically will google coupons and look at websites that specialize in coupon clipping. It’s very simple to add coupons within the app and I can create my shopping list within the app. Living in a small town with just one major grocery store makes this pretty slick. I have two options when it comes to grocery store shopping, Walmart and Hyvee. I do prefer Walmart for some items, such as paper items and 24 packs of pop. Mainly because I prefer to buy paper items and pop in the biggest possible boxes. However, when it comes to everything else Hyvee is my main grocery store.
Not only are they helping me save money on groceries, they also help me save money on fuel. Which, unfortunately, sometimes isn’t that much with the stuff I buy. But, every now and then, like today, I can get $0.08 off per gallon and since I typically don’t get much off on my gallons of fuel this is kind of a big deal. So, when I do get some money off it’s kind of exciting to watch the price change on the fuel pump when I swipe my Hy-vee card.
My favorite part of shopping at Hy-vee is probably the bakery and the fresh produce. I love the bakery so much that every year during our busy seasons, planting and harvest, I stock up on their hamburger and hotdog buns because they work perfect for putting together a delicious sandwich. And they freeze pretty decent too! Every summer we also throw a big BBQ that just keeps growing and growing every year and Hyvee always has enough bread on stock for me to just stop in at the last minute and grab what I need, but I am guessing I could easily place an order if I needed to, to makes sure I had enough!
Hy-vee was nice enough to supply me with a gift card for a give-away on my blog today. And I am so excited to be able to share it with some of my readers. To enter you have a few different options below. Be sure to share the link to my blog with your friends on Facebook for an extra entry! The giveaway will run from today to Sunday at 12 AM. So this one has a quick turnaround.
