Below is our New Year’s card. It was supposed to be a Christmas card, but I mean…who sends out Christmas cards anymore?! Or maybe that is just my excuse for not being on top of it and getting it sent out in time.
Anyway, our babysitter took this photo and it was too cute not to put on our card. It pretty much sums up our two kiddos right now. A very happy, easy going Elijah. And Elliette, who looks almost pained to have to stop what activity she is doing to take a photo. She is our busy little girl.
We have entered the last week of January and it’s safe to say the month has already flown by. And by Wednesday I will have spent an entire week stranded in Washington D.C. Yes, I have become a part of history. I have ridden out Blizzard Jonas at a hotel a few blocks from the White House. I have shared my hotel with other stranded travelers, secret service, and employees of the White House, who apparently all had to be within a two block radius during the blizzard.
As a mom, I am always looking for more alone time. I have had way too much in the last three days. Way, way too much. As I worked on our family’s annual Shutterfly book last night I found myself getting a bit homesick and decided that bingeing on Netflix would be a better idea. I have taken walks around the hotel and was finally able to get outside today in beautiful weather. And I am really anxious for my flight out on Wednesday!
I did some blogging and some planning and some goal setting for this year. And to close out this month of January I figured I would share the photo that started out our month.
