Instead of the weekend being filled with more farm chores, it is instead filled with lots of love and laughter celebrating 80th birthdays.
My husband’s Grandma turned 80 back at the beginning of the year, and we celebrated this summer with the whole family.
73 of the whole family to be exact. That is a whole lot of people!
Elliette had a blast in two days filled of playing with cousins, second cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts, and great uncles. And let’s not forget Grandmas and Grandpa.
And she was quite the little ham if I say so myself.
(I should mention that we have discovered our daughter is a ball hoarder. She had to have every single golf ball. We couldn’t even finish our game because she was insistent to have them all to herself.)
It’s nice every now and then to take a break for the weekend and spend it with the family you just don’t see enough!
We also went to Elliette’s first parade. We were pulling in and it just so happens so were my in laws, so we sat with them and taught Ellie how to pick up candy. She did a fabulous job once she figured out how it was done. And was even nice enough to share with Grandpa.
It was a jam packed weekend. Filled with a few firsts, lots of giggles, and lots and lots of family time. And this weekend we get to have a repeat performance for our Annual Neighborhood BBQ. Another event we look forward to every year! I love when our calendar is filled with family and fellowship!
