Journey of Baby K

March 13, 2012 by Morgan 11 Comments

I think it is only fair to show some of our journey with Baby K, to kind of celebrate the fact I only have 3 weeks to go!
There is actually a person in there! ๐Ÿ™‚
Announcement- I know it has been seen before, but it’s a big part of this journey!
My belly finally starts to show…on a beach in St. Pete! ๐Ÿ™‚
My sis, who I think is excited to be an Auntie!
Baby K got lots of gifts this season..
A beautiful baby farm animal themed shower in Indiana with all my family and friends to celebrate Baby K. Everyone there is hoping for a boy- our family has quite a few little girls. Hosted by my Stepmom and Mom, it was perfect, and I had such a great time!
A wintery photo shoot to get some belly shots so we don’t forget how miserable I am..just kidding. I really wanted these and my sister in law captured it perfectly for me!
My family is going to tease me relentlessly for this one. But, my dog Payton, is severely attached to me and she would not get out of this picture. So I just said take it. It still turned out great!

South Dakota’s baby shower was hosted in our home and we went with a baby vintage theme. My sister in law hosted and did a great job! I loved it! It was so neat to use all of my family’s heirlooms and to see all the different baby items she came up with at antique stores!

Just ignore the piles of stuff near the chair. That’s all my hospital stuff ready to go- Thanks to my husband who has been constantly riding on me to get packed!

And the nursery. Pretty much done except for a few shelves, a frame around the big picture above the baby bed, and a vinyl sign that says ‘Triple K Farms- Where roots are planted and families grow’. I can’t decide where to put it! All the pictures of the calves are our baby calves from last Spring’s herd.

Now that I feel like I have given my ode to Baby K, I promise my next one won’t be until baby is born! 3 more weeks!

Thank you the compliment means a lot, especially since these last 2 weeks I have definitely felt not so beautiful! I plan on kicking back most definitely in the next couple of weeks!

Looks like you are good to go. Love the animal theme and all the love shown in the pictures. Breathe and rest while you can. Life is going to take a run down the wonderful but sometimes crazy road. Better fuel up now ๐Ÿ˜‰

What a great scrapbook project the photos will make. Enjoy and rest when you can. There are no rules on childbirth everyone is different. Use your Mother instincts it will come just like a Mother Cows has you understand that after watching birth of those baby calves. Primitive but true

I met my husband for the first time face to face on the exit ramp that is now down the road from our home. I lived in South Dakota for a year before I was sure I was ready to do this whole "farm wife" thing...(read more!)
