Not So Wordless, Wordless Wednesday: Memorial Day Weekend

May 29, 2013 by Morgan 1 Comment

I helped my hubby do his chores on Sunday afternoon. I always enjoy when I get to help him..It only happens a couple of times a year, but whenever it does happen it seems to always put us in great moods! (PS. No worries, this picture was snapped while the parking break was on and I just set it up for the picture only…I am pretty focused when I help him feed cattle- I have to be to make sure I get everyone’s lunch mixed just right!)

Our friend Dan came over from Leraas Excavating and grinded our stumps out of the ground where we cut our Cottonwood trees down a few winters ago. I can’t wait to mow my lawn without them there! Thanks Dan!

On Monday evening we were sitting down having supper and we both couldn’t believe how much stuff we got done over the long weekend. It was our Sunday for chores and also our holiday so we didn’t venture far from home, but on this weekend we typically don’t. Since I have met Jason I think every Memorial Day weekend we have made it a big project weekend. So, at the end of our three days we were tired!

Did anyone else get anything good done this weekend?

Started feeling better from a sinus infection….Does that count? Great job on your chores and extra jobs. We hit that day on the weekend after my birthday (May 18th…) and planted four bushes and a tree ๐Ÿ™‚ That made this momma happy ๐Ÿ™‚

I met my husband for the first time face to face on the exit ramp that is now down the road from our home. I lived in South Dakota for a year before I was sure I was ready to do this whole "farm wife" thing...(read more!)
