Thankful Thanksgiving

November 29, 2013 by Morgan Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving day we are always reminded of what to be thankful for. But, now that I am a Mommy I have moments through out the year where I feel so overwhelmed with thanks.

This month I did a Tree Of Blessings in our house. Our daughter may not be able to fully understand the entire concept. But, every day when I said it was time to think of a blessing she would sit down with me in front of the tree and at least watch what I was doing and listen as I talked about the blessings in our life. And towards the end when I asked her what her “favorite things were” she even responded with a couple of things. Like- Her blankie, her puppies and kitties, and of course we can’t forget moo cows. We actually did that one two days in a row. But, who am I to tell her that she can’t be thankful for moos two days in a row?

It was a really fun thing for us to do together every day, and sometimes we even let Daddy have a little input!

I hope today you were filled with many blessings and that your holidays started off with lots of love, I know ours did!

(Please excuse the less than perfect photo. I chose a horrible time of day to snap this photo as the afternoon sun was coming right into my kitchen!)
