Well, we have finished up the first week of being home with our little one.
And what a relief to be home!
A little over a week ago we went in for an ultrasound to check on baby.
Well, right after that ultrasound we were walked over to labor and delivery. I didn’t have much of a choice as the fluid in the Baby’s placenta was low, so it was time to get the show on the road!
The day came and went and turned into day 2, which eventually led into day 3.
I developed a fever sometime during labor. The baby was turned face up and after almost 3 hours of trying to get her out the labor ended with a c-section that I was completely knocked out for.
Since I developed that lovely little fever Elliette spent her first 2 days in the NICU and I didn’t get to hold her until early the next morning.
Wow, talk about a journey. I didn’t have the easiest pregnancy, so mentally I was prepared for a non easy labor. I never imagined it would end like it did.
Our first week at home has went pretty well and on Sunday I felt up to a tractor ride. It was a short one and it was a bit hard on me…but it was worth it to see Elliette’s face as she took in all the different things in the tractor!
