Wordless Wednesday: Baby Calves

May 25, 2011 by Morgan 4 Comments

I absolutely could not pass up posting the “photo shoot” I did a few weeks back on our spring calves.

Who is this crazy lady taking our pictures?

This looks like a future Bull Ad to me…

Maybe if I lick my boogers she will leave…

Licking my boogers makes my face itch.

Yes, mud is fun.

How can you not adore those floppy ears?

By far the cutest calf of the year…

Momma was a little upset I was taking her baby’s picture without permission so she came and got him.

ADORABLE! After we quit the dairy business, we had a cow/calf operation for a few years. I miss seeing the calves frolicking in the pasture. Now we raise feeders, and they still like to run the pasture, but it makes me fret that they will bust through the fence and then we will have to start a round up!

Enjoyed your calf pictures! It is always fun to sit back and watch the calves play, run, jump and buck!

I met my husband for the first time face to face on the exit ramp that is now down the road from our home. I lived in South Dakota for a year before I was sure I was ready to do this whole "farm wife" thing...(read more!)
