Process Of Slaughter- Temple Grandin

December 16, 2013 by Morgan Leave a Comment

One thing that I don’t get as many questions of, which is rather surprising, is the harvesting process for beef. I have seen it done at many different facilities, every step of the way. And am proud that the animals are given top care and respect through the entire process.
This video is a wonderful representation of how things are done right and is led by one of the top experts in animal handling. It is a short ten minutes but very worth your time if you want to see what happens at a processing facility.
It also discusses how animals who are treated humane produce the best meat, and those that are stressed or unsettled will not produce good quality meat. It’s a benefit to us, and it’s simply the right thing to do.
But please be warned that this is a processing facility and there are some things you may not want to see.
