Life Never Seems To Slow Down…

July 30, 2011 by Morgan 1 Comment

Already tomorrow is Saturday and soon my Dad and little sis will head back to Indiana.
I then leave for Pierre, South Dakota for Ag Teacher’s Conference for 4 days before heading off to Canada for a much needed fishing vacation. The only thing consistent with this summer is the fact that I have spent more time traveling than around our farm.
But, this week has been a breathe of fresh air with the visit from my Dad and little sis.
We started this project last year, and thought we had finished, but me being the woman I am, it just didn’t look quite done.
Now, I can officially say our “new” deck looks very finished, beautiful, and perfect for entertaining our 100+ guests tomorrow night.

The top part of the deck was the Summer of 2010 project, the lower portion and walkway off to the right we did this year.

Beautiful! We have a similar deck project in mind with two levels. I al going to have to grab my husband and show him what you all did!

BTW Fishing in Canada sounds heavenly right about now! We used to go up to Ely, Minnesota and fish the boundry waters. I can almost hear the cool wind whistling through the pines….sigh…… Enjoy!

I met my husband for the first time face to face on the exit ramp that is now down the road from our home. I lived in South Dakota for a year before I was sure I was ready to do this whole "farm wife" thing...(read more!)
