Time to start a new year fresh. With new challenges, goals, blank canvases, blank calendars.
Our last month has been really, really busy. But, before I get going into the new year I definitely think I need to share where my farmer and I headed off to last month for a quick mini vacation. Kind of.
My stepmom, in case you forgot, is Jeanette Lee “The Black Widow”. It just so happens that this year she was honored by being inducted into the Billiards Hall Of Fame. Which is kind of a big deal. Such a big deal that my farmer agreed to take a few days off of farming to head to Las Vegas with me.
I have traveled a lot. But, one place I hadn’t been was Vegas, so it was really nice to get to experience the interesting city with my hubby. And, amazingly he fit right in with his wranglers and belt buckle. Since it just so happens the National Rodeo was in town!
The few days we were there we were mainly focused on just spending time with my family. We left our little Ella Bella at home with her Grandma so we were able to enjoy all the thrills of the casinos without having to worry about a babysitter.

But, by far, our FAVORITE part of the trip was splurging a tiny bit and taking a helicopter tour over the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.
My hubby looks pretty good in this photo, considering he wasn’t feeling so hot about being in the front seat… |

It was worth every single cent. It was beautiful, and my Dad was right, it is definitely worthy of being in his top five favorite experiences.
