The last 48 hours have been long. Super long.
Our little girl has gotten a nasty, nasty virus that has made her absolutely inconsolable through the nights. Holy tired. I think we both are running on ‘E’.
The only way she seems to be somewhat consolable is when I am holding her, or cuddling her. Which is NOT my little Ella Bella. She is very independent and does not like to be coddled any longer.
Needless to say, and much to my internal delight, she has strictly wanted Mommy. I feel bad for my hubby- for a minute. But, I am enjoying this cuddle time. Even if it means I am starved by the end of the day and need a shower something fierce.
Today, while she was napping (a friend stayed home with her!) I ran some chemical out to my husband who has been spraying ditches around our fields to try and clean up some of the weeds.
I may have been so out of it that I was speeding slightly. Or maybe like 15 over. I blame it on my lack of sleep, I was a bit zoned out. And focused on getting the chemical to my husband and getting back home.
I may have also gotten pulled over without my driver’s license- really, who carries a drivers license to the field?!
Anyway, the officer was really great and I explained to him what I was doing, and how our daughter had been at the ER in the middle of the night and I was really out of it. It may have helped that he knew us. He was kind enough to only give me a ticket for not having my driver’s license.
We then discussed how terrible the speeding has been on our road…I agreed and told him how dangerous it was. And then I said “Thanks for doing your job and pulling me over, I was definitely in the wrong”. Oh my. I seriously laugh at myself sometimes. Ok, a lot.
Anyway, it was a beautiful day to be outside. And my husband was in such a good mood since he has reaped the benefit of this beautiful day. I’m just a tiny bit sad I spent most of it on the couch cuddling- only a tiny bit!

Thanks Carrie! Luckily it only last a few days…poor babies, when they get sick they can’t even tell you what hurts! It must stink not being able to talk yet when you’re a kid!
