In case you missed my Facebook Page this week I have had the world’s worst sinus infection.
Ok. Maybe not the worst. But it was absolutely horrible. And this week was busy!
Starting on Saturday for me, my heifer, who I’ve been watching like a hawk, finally had her baby. A girl.
The farm’s herd started calving on Monday. And On Wednesday you would have thought something was in the water. Holy baby! They were coming out left and right. A set of twins and boys out numbering the girls. It was a beautiful day for calving.
It was also my week to cook. Which was probably the easiest week I have ever had.
I spent the down time trying to rest up as much as I could with an almost one year old.
Which brings me to another big thing that has been on my mind pretty much always for the last couple of months.
I have been planning my not so baby, baby girl’s first birthday.
I am pretty thrifty so I have used a lot of my own crafting supplies and extras I had lying around, then used coupons to buy a few things I didn’t have. I think the most money I have spent has been on baking supplies to test out different cakes!
For some reason my husband insists I make her cake. I insist we let the bakery. Needless to say I haven’t won yet. We shall see what she gets.
I’ve got a lot of different ideas rolling around in my head. The snacks I have just about got down.
Decor. Check.
Invites. Check. And they are pretty fun if I say so myself.
And you will be able to read all about them soon!
I’ll blog about her special day after it has came and passed, but here is a sneak peak until then!
