Wow, I feel like I have been missing out on the blogging world lately. I have really tried hard to decrease the amount of actual typing I have been doing. Browsing online is one thing..but actually typing out emails and blog posts has been a bit painful.
In case you haven’t been on my Facebook page lately, I have had two back to back surgeries on my wrists. My cast came off about a week ago, things are still pretty tender…but I will tell you one thing- it has been so nice to be able to cuddle my daughter without having a bulky cast on my arm! Now, if I can just get the pain to decrease to a dull “roar” I will be perfect!
Around here things have been chugging along as they typically do. We actually got quite a bit done after Harvest this year before the first snowfall- so that is a bonus! I have been pretty house bound- but I have been doing all sorts of reading on different areas of Ag production! I had a lot of catching up to do in my pile of “reads”.
At the end of the year we tend to do a lot of number crunching- both personally and for our business. At the end of every year I tend to clean our office, make any changes to our file system, shop for more office supplies, and get the new spreadsheet set up for the next year.
I know tax season can seem stressful for some, but I really enjoy it. I like watching all the numbers come together and seeing everything complete itself for the year.
Hopefully I will be getting back to my regular routine of blogging now that my surgeries are complete..but I will be starting out slowly! I definitely miss talking to everyone about food and farming though! So, I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things!
Other than farm stuff the end of this year is bringing lots of excitement for my husband and I as our daughter celebrates her first Christmas! Since I don’t have a ton of farm pictures from the last few months .. I will share our daughter with Santa! She started screaming right after this picture..but it was fun to at least get a picture with Santa since it was her very first Christmas- even if my hubby thought I was a bit crazy he at least let me have my moment! And..it was worth it to me!
