There is this fancy dividing line in South Dakota, called the Missouri River.
When I first moved to South Dakota my father in law took me to my first cattle sale in Pierre. Which basically sits on this fancy river.
But, other than that first cattle sale I have never really been “West River”.
This week for the first time I have spent some time West River. So far I have seen some amazing things! See below for some of my pictures through Custer Park.
But, I would have to say my favorite so far…
The FFA State Officers, Ambassadors, and State Staff at Mt. Rushmore!

Glad you get the chance to enjoy the beautiful Black Hills. My Husband and I have toured a few attractions in the Hills over the last few years. Being from NE I had never taken in the Hills and Husband had not gone site seeing since he was a kid. There is so much to see and do.
We get enjoy the North West SD prairie everyday; we call it home.

Beautiful pictures! Love the bison! I’ve been out there, but we did not go to Custer Park. The rock formations are very cool. Glad you are discovering your new state!

Robyn- You are so right there is so much to see and do! We are practically neighbors then with being from South Dakota!
Lana- The bison were absolutely hilarious. They just let us take all kinds of pictures and everything, but I heard they can be quite dangerous!
It was absolutely beautiful Megan! I loved it out west!
